A digital product store that runs itself.
What this build does
Astra & Co sells custom star maps on Etsy: the sky exactly as it was over a particular place at a particular minute, printed for a birth, a wedding, a new home or somebody who is gone. The whole thing is built to run without anybody touching it. The listings are written for what people search on Etsy, the posters and the pins are generated rather than designed one at a time, a year of social posting is already mapped out, and the system watches how the account performs so it can adjust and compound rather than plateau.
What it sells
A star map is a print of the real night sky, computed star by star from astronomical data for the moment and place that matters to somebody: the night they were born, the day they became us, the sky over a new address. Astra & Co offers five designs at one price, personalised at checkout with names, a date, a time, a place and a message, and delivered as a print-ready file within minutes.

The product, generated not designed
- Every poster is computed from real astronomical data for the exact time and place, not picked from a set of pre-drawn skies.
- Five designs at one price, and the whole listing set, the room mockups, the design cards, the how-it-works panels, generated per occasion rather than laid out by hand each time.
- Occasions covered separately, because a birth, a wedding, a new home and a bereavement are not the same purchase and should not share the same words.
Found on Etsy
- Listings written for what people actually search on Etsy, down to the title, the tags and the attributes, because on Etsy the listing is the shopfront and the search engine at once.
- A listing per occasion, so each one answers a different search rather than one general listing competing with itself.
Traffic on a schedule
- Pins generated from the same product data as the listings, so a new design becomes social content without anyone opening a design tool.
- A full year of posting already mapped out and scheduled, seasonal where it should be, so the account keeps working whether or not anybody is thinking about it.
- The system reads how the account is performing and adjusts what it posts, so the effort compounds instead of flatlining.
Delivery, around a hard constraint
- Etsy never hands a seller the buyer's email address, so the usual automated delivery is simply not available.
- The answer was a separate collect page: the buyer gets a link with the purchase, enters their order number, and picks up their finished poster there.
- The file is rendered the moment the order lands, so collection works whether the buyer opens it in a minute or a week.
What comes next for Astra & Co
- More occasions and more designs, generated the same way, so the catalogue grows without the work growing with it.
- More of the account managed by the system itself, so what sells decides what gets made next.
