Dog daycare, Swaffham Prior

Countryside Canines

Her first website, a booking system built around how a daycare runs, and a dashboard that runs the day.

What this build does

Debbie ran a dog field and a walking round, and her customers kept asking for daycare. Fixr built Countryside Canines its first website in the weeks before the June 2026 opening: the site first, collecting sign-ups for a pre-launch giveaway hamper, then the booking and payment system, a customer portal and Debbie's own dashboard, launched to that list when the doors opened.

About the business

Countryside Canines is a small, deliberately capped dog daycare in a restored barn at Partridge Hall Farm, Swaffham Prior, on a working Cambridgeshire farm with two acres of secure field. Owner Debbie has spent 15 years rescuing, retraining and rehoming dogs, 49 of them personally, and another 15 years farming the land the dogs now walk on. The walking side started around two years before the barn opened and sees around 100 dogs a week. The barn, an old potato store, was cleaned, zoned and secured to meet East Cambridgeshire daycare regulations, with four spaces under one roof: the Puppy Zone, the Quiet Area, The Hub and the Court Yard.

What we built

Branding

  • Debbie already had a logo, so the branding grew out of it: the palette, the type and the tone of every page follow the mark she was already using.
  • Her own photos and videos of the dogs and the barn on every page, so the site shows the real place rather than stock.

Design

  • A warm countryside design that lets the dogs do the work: big photography, short copy, and a Book a trial button never far away.
  • A page for each service, each of the four spaces in the barn, the dogs, the owners, the local area, pricing, and the story of how it started.

Functionality

  • A custom booking and payment system, with built-in upsells and income monitoring.
  • Trials first: a new dog books a trial morning online and pays the £18 at the time. After the visit Debbie decides whether it becomes a regular and approves it from her dashboard.
  • A customer portal where owners book in a few taps and keep their dogs' details, vaccination and insurance records in one place.
  • Debbie's dashboard: income and bookings at a glance, the day's arrivals so she knows who is coming, and a single click to flag which dogs need her pick-up and drop-off service.

Automation

  • Automated emails for confirmations, reminders and rescheduling.
  • Trial requests and trial reviews handled inside the system, so approving a regular is one action rather than a thread of messages.

How it was built to be found

SEO was not part of this build, so the site is found on its structure: a page for each service, each space in the barn, the local area and pricing, with a Google Business Profile set up alongside it. It ranks for 132 page-one keywords, 58 of them in the top three, and sits in the top five on Google Maps for dog daycare.
