FIXR SYSTEMS

SEO Cambridge that brings you enquiries

Fixr Systems does SEO for small businesses in and around Cambridge. The job is to rank higher for what people here are searching, bring in more of the right traffic, and get more of them contacting you. It starts with the real monthly search figures for what you sell, so you see the demand before you spend anything, and Ben does the work himself from Cambridgeshire.

What being hard to find in Cambridge costs you

Somebody in Cambridge needs what you sell today. They type it into Google, they look at the map results and the first few links, and they get in touch with two or three of those. If none of them is you, you never hear about it, because nobody rings to tell you they could not find you.

  1. Being the best does not help if you are not on the page

Whoever is in those first few results gets the call. Google is not ranking the best business in Cambridge, it is ranking the pages that answer the search most clearly.

  2. A competitor in Cambridge is on page one instead

Somebody in your trade here has pages for the things people search and you have a homepage. Google matches the specific page to the specific search, so theirs is the one that gets shown.

  3. You are invisible in the map results

Many local searches end in the map results rather than the links below them. If your Google Business Profile is thin or the categories are wrong, you are not in the running for those at all.

What you get when it is done properly

You have a page for each real thing people search for, and the towns you cover are named on the pages that serve them. Your Google Business Profile is complete, so you show up in the map results as well as the links. That is the chain that makes SEO worth paying for: rank higher, bring in more of the right traffic, and hear from more of the people already looking for what you sell.

  • You rank for what people here are actually searching.
  • More of the right people find you and get in touch.

What SEO in Cambridge actually involves

SEO is not one job. It is seven, and most of the value sits in the first one because everything after it depends on getting it right.

Research before anything else

We pull the real monthly search volumes for what you sell across Cambridge and the towns around it. You see the numbers before you commit, including the searches with no demand, so nothing is built on a guess.

A page for each real search

One search intent, one page. Somebody looking for a specific service in a specific place lands on a page about exactly that, rather than a homepage that mentions eight things.

The towns you cover, named

Google matches a local search against what your pages say. If Cambridge, Ely and the villages you work in are never named, there is nothing to match, and you compete nationally instead of locally.

Your Google Business Profile

Categories, services, service areas, photos, opening hours and reviews, kept complete and linked to the site properly. A complete profile is what puts you in the map results.

The technical foundations

Page speed on a phone, a clean structure Google can crawl, and the structured data that tells search engines what your business is and where it works.

Content that answers questions

The questions people type before they buy, answered on their own pages. These bring people in earlier than a service page does, while they are still working out what they need.

A report you can read

Every month, in plain English: the searches you show up for, where you rank, how that moved, and what is next. Not a dashboard login you never open.

SV Autos

Mobile mechanic, Cambridgeshire

A new mobile mechanic in Soham covering Ely, Newmarket, Cambridge and the villages between them. Nobody had heard of him, so every customer had to come from search. The research showed people search for a service plus a place, which decided the whole structure of the site.

What we did

  • Keyword research first, across every service and every town in his patch, before a page was written
  • Eleven service pages and twenty-five town and area pages, so each real search has a page of its own
  • Eleven advice pages answering what people type before they book, like a warning light on the dashboard
  • A Google Business Profile set up alongside the site rather than months afterwards

155 page-one keywords, 82 of them in the top three, and the first enquiry inside a week of launch.

What you get

You start with keyword research across Cambridge and the towns you cover, with real monthly figures behind it, and a written plan showing which pages to build and why before anything gets built. Each search worth having then gets a page written to answer it. Your Google Business Profile is set up or fixed, and the technical work is done underneath: speed, structure and the markup search engines read.

Advice pages answer what people ask before they buy, and every month a report arrives in plain English. It is rolling monthly with no contract, and the work stays yours.

Has this worked for anyone near here?

Yes, and the numbers below come from Search Console rather than from us. Two of the three are Cambridgeshire businesses a few miles outside Cambridge.

The research decides everything that comes after it, so I do that first. You see the real figures before you spend a month chasing demand that was never there.

What happens next

You tell us what you sell and where you sell it, and we come back with the real monthly search figures for those things in those places, plus a written plan for which pages to build first. You decide whether the demand is worth chasing before you spend anything. From there it is month by month, with a report you can read.

SEO is ongoing rather than a project. The first month is weighted towards research and the fixes that matter most, then it runs month by month.

What it costs

SEO starts from £250 a month, rolling monthly, with no contract.

You get a fixed monthly figure before anything starts, and it does not change unless you ask for more.

What am I committing to?

  • One month at a time. There is no contract and no notice period, so if it is not working you stop.
  • The first month is weighted towards research, so if the demand is not there you find out early and cheaply.
  • Everything we build stays on your site and in your name, so it keeps working if you stop paying us.

See how your website scores

Put in your website address and we check everything that can be seen from outside your site, from how fast your pages load on a phone to whether Google can even read what you do. The full report lands in your inbox in a couple of minutes, written in plain English.

Before you ask

How much should SEO Cambridge businesses expect to pay?

SEO with Fixr starts from £250 a month, rolling monthly with no contract. The first month is weighted towards research and the fixes that matter most. Bigger sites and wider areas cost more, and you get a fixed monthly figure before anything starts.

How long before I see anything?

Expect three to six months for competitive terms, and often much sooner for specific local searches with less competition. SV Autos in Soham had its first enquiry from search within a week of launch, because a brand new site aimed at long, specific local searches can move quickly. An established site with existing problems usually takes longer.

Can you guarantee I will rank first in Cambridge?

No. Google decides what ranks and it changes how it decides regularly, so a guaranteed position is not something anybody can honestly sell. What you get instead is a report each month naming the searches you appear for and where you sit, so you can judge it on the numbers rather than on promises.

What do you actually do each month?

It depends what the research says is holding you back. In practice it is some mix of building or rewriting pages, fixing technical problems, work on your Google Business Profile, adding advice pages for the questions people ask before they buy, and checking what moved. The report tells you which of those happened and why.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. It is rolling monthly with no notice period. Everything built stays on your site in your name, so if you stop, the pages keep working for you.

Do you only work with businesses in Cambridge?

No. Most clients are in Cambridgeshire, including Soham, Ely, Newmarket and the villages around them, but Fixr runs sites across the UK. Being nearby helps if you want to meet, and makes no difference to the work otherwise.

How is this different from the free SEO audit?

The free audit checks everything visible from outside your site and emails you the report, and it costs nothing. It tells you what is wrong. This is the work that fixes it, plus the research and the pages that go beyond your existing site.

Ready when you are.
