Who we are

Fixr Systems Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15889598. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at ben@fixrsystems.com.

What we collect, and only when you give it

If you use the enquiry form we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give one, and whatever you write in the message box.

If you use the form on our website offer page we collect your name and your mobile number, so we can message you about it on WhatsApp.

If you run the free website audit we collect the website address you enter and your email address, so we can send you the report.

Cookies and measurement

We do not set cookies, and that is why we never ask you about them. A banner is required when a site stores or reads something on your device. Ours stores nothing, so there is nothing to agree to.

We do still count visits. The tools below are set up so that none of them can store anything in your browser, which means none of them can recognise you on a later visit or follow you to another site.

The lawful basis for this is our legitimate interests in knowing which of our pages are useful. It is aggregate counting, not a profile of you.

Google Analytics, from Google, counts visits and which pages are used. It runs permanently in Google's consent denied mode, which sends the count with no cookie and no identifier.

So we can see how many visits a page had, the site or search that sent them, the country, and the kind of device. We cannot see whether you have been here before.

Vercel Web Analytics, from Vercel, who host this site, counts page views. It identifies a visit by scrambling details of the request your browser already sends, on Vercel's own servers, and discards that after 24 hours. Nothing is written to your browser.

Our own visit counter, which we run ourselves on Cloudflare, notes what happens while a page is open: how long it was on screen, how far down you scrolled, which links and buttons you clicked, and how far you got through a form (never what you typed into it). Our server works out a visit code from your IP address and browser using a secret that changes every day and is then deleted, so the code cannot be traced back to you or linked to another day, and your IP address is never kept. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, it does not run.

We previously used the Meta Pixel for our Facebook and Instagram adverts, and there was a cookie banner, with one landing page that set cookies without asking. All three were removed on 2 October 2026. If you accepted cookies here before that date, you can clear the stored data for this site in your browser to remove what is left; nothing new is being written.

If you would rather not be counted at all, any standard ad or tracker blocker will stop Google. Our own visit counter is sent through our own address, so a blocker may not stop it; switch on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser and it will not count you. Browsing in a private window changes nothing we hold, because we were never keeping anything between visits.

Why we have it, and what we do with it

Enquiry details are used to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to do the work. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: you contacted a business asking it to respond, and replying is what you would expect.

Audit details are used to generate and send your report. If you leave the opt out box unticked we may also send you occasional emails about our website and SEO services, on the basis of the soft opt in for existing and prospective customers. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link and one click is enough.

We do not sell your information and we do not add you to any list you did not ask to be on.

Who else sees it

The suppliers that make the site work: our hosting provider, and the service that delivers our email. They process your information on our instructions and cannot use it for anything of their own. If we reply to you on WhatsApp, that conversation is carried by WhatsApp, which is part of Meta.

Google and Vercel receive the measurement described above. Our own visit counter runs on Cloudflare, which processes it on our instructions only. None of them receives your name, your email address or anything else you typed into a form.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work are deleted after twelve months. Records for clients are kept for six years after the last piece of work, because HMRC requires business records to be retained for that long.

What you can ask us to do

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it at all. Email ben@fixrsystems.com and we will deal with it within one month. There is nothing to pay and you do not need to give a reason.

If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
