The Bee Hive Cafe
A cafe's first website, taking orders from the day it went live.
What this build does
The Bee Hive is a coffee and protein shake cafe inside a gym in Llanishen, Cardiff, and it had never had a website. Fixr built Bailey her first one with order-and-collect from day one, plugged straight into the Square till she already ran, and used it to sell retail bags of the coffee she serves.

About the business
The Bee Hive Cafe sits inside ION Strength and Conditioning in Llanishen, Cardiff: expertly crafted coffee and premium protein shakes for people fuelling up before a session, grabbing a coffee on a break, or meeting friends. It serves Hard Lines, a small-batch specialty roaster in Cardiff, and its own line is that a coffee a day keeps the grumpies away.
What it runs on
What we built
Branding
- Bailey already had the Bee Hive logo and branding, so the site expanded it: the same marks and colours, developed into a full set of pages.
- Her own photos of the drinks, the counter and the cafe on every page, so it looks like the place and not a template.
Design
- A first website built around the two things a customer wants: what is on, and how to order it. Menu, order and shop are one tap from anywhere.
- Favourites on the homepage, the full menu by category, Bailey's story, and the reviews and map from Google on the page.
Square as the source of truth
- Bailey already ran her till on Square, so the site was built onto it rather than beside it: menu, prices and stock come straight from Square and refresh themselves, with no second list to keep up to date.
- Order and collect: 43 menu items, customisation on each, a 3-step checkout, and card or Google Pay taken through Square, with every order landing in the till.
- If something sells out in Square it shows as sold out on the site, so nobody orders what is not there.
The shop
- Retail bags of the Hard Lines coffee the cafe serves, sold through the same checkout.
- Stock, pricing and payment for the shop handled in Square too, so the retail side runs without its own admin.

Sending people to it
- Bailey's Google Business Profile, optimised by Fixr so the cafe shows properly on Maps and in local search.

What it did
- 137 page-one keywords, 50 in the top three.
- The site brought in new loyal customers.
