Benchmark Home & Business

A brand new company, launched with a site that quotes from photos.

What this build does

Benchmark is a boutique cleaning and staging company founded by Geena and Natalie, working across Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. They came to Fixr with a logo and a company to start. We built their first website: a set of pages for each kind of customer they wanted, and an enquiry that gets them to a quote without anybody driving out to look at the property.

About the business

Benchmark Home & Business cleans and stages homes, Airbnbs and holiday lets, commercial premises and properties on the market, across Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. Deep cleans, end of tenancy, Airbnb turnovers with linen changeover, home sale staging, offices and commercial spaces, and the Home Edit service that declutters and reorganises a room rather than just cleaning it.

What we built

Branding

  • Geena and Natalie had already had their logo made, so the site was built around it: the same navy and gold, the same mark, developed into a full set of pages.
  • Photography of real rooms on every page, so a first time visitor sees the standard of work before reading a word about it.

A page for each kind of customer

  • Homeowners, Airbnb and holiday let hosts, businesses with premises, and estate and letting agents each get their own page, because each of them is buying something different.
  • Every one of those pages answers the questions that customer actually asks, with its own FAQ, rather than one general list that half applies to everybody.
  • A services page covering the six services, each linked to the customer page it belongs to.

Quoting without a site visit

  • The enquiry asks who you are first, then branches into four different sets of questions: a host is asked how many properties they run and what type they are, an agent how big their portfolio is and what they need on each property. Six short steps either way.
  • One of those steps takes photos and a short video of the space, uploaded with the enquiry, so Geena and Natalie can price the job from their phone instead of booking a visit first.
  • Every enquiry lands in one place with all its answers and attachments, and the customer gets an automatic confirmation email straight away so nobody is left wondering whether it sent.
  • Anyone who would rather not fill a form gets a phone number and a WhatsApp button on every page.

Staff as well as customers

  • A new cleaning company needs cleaners, so the site has its own recruitment page with an application form, separate from the customer enquiry.
  • It sets out the hours, the training and the kinds of work, so applicants arrive knowing what the job is.

Reviews

  • A feedback page where a customer rates the clean out of five.
  • Happy customers go straight through to the company's Google review page, so more five star reviews land where new customers look for them.
  • Anything lower opens a private form instead, which keeps the bad ones out of public view and puts them in front of Geena and Natalie.

Sending people to it

  • Their Google Business Profile, set up by Fixr so the company shows on Maps and in local search across the three counties it covers.
